Ryan Giggs has singled out Anthony Martial’s performance against Wolves for praise and backed the forward to thrive in a more central position for Manchester United.
Martial and Marcus Rashford are expected to lead the line and score the bulk of United’s goals this season following Romelu Lukaku’s £74million switch to Inter Milan earlier this month.
Alexis Sanchez is reportedly set to join Lukaku on loan at the San Siro, with Inter prepared to pay half of his £400,000-a-week wages until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
After being handed the No.9 shirt, Martial started through the middle in United’s two opening Premier League matches and found the net on both occasions, at home to Chelsea and away to Wolves. Read more
