Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tips youngster James Garner to break into first team (Metro)

Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has compared 17-year-old James Garner to Michael Carrick and says the midfielder has a โ€˜great futureโ€™ at the club.

Garner came on in the dying stages of Unitedโ€™s 3-1 win against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night to make his debut for the Red Devils.

Unitedโ€™s injury crisis meant Garner was joined on the bench by fellow youngsters Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes and the trio are expected to keep their places for this weekendโ€™s clash against Southampton.
