The Ondo State Ministry of Education announced on Monday that it has launched an investigation into the assault on the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development College, Aule, Akure, identified as Mr Rotifa, by the parents of a student.

It was reported that Mr Rotifa prevented an SS3 student from cheating during the ongoing West African Examinations Council Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. The student was allegedly caught using an Android phone to cheat, which was subsequently confiscated by the Vice Principal.

The situation escalated when the student informed his parents, who allegedly hired thugs to attack Mr Rotifa.

A source revealed that the Vice Principal was forcibly dragged from a police vehicle and beaten to the point of near unconsciousness. (Punch)
