Justice Joyce Abdulmaleek of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, on Thursday dismissed a suit challenging the conduct of the Oyo State local government election on Saturday.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the suit was instituted by some aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress in Ibarapa East Local Government area of the state.
Abdulmaleek, in Thursday’s ruling, held that the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission was dully constituted to conduct the election, based on the powers given to it. Read more
