Paul Merson took aim at Manchester United’s players following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, labelling them ’embarrassing’.
The Arsenal hero hailed the Portuguese as the ‘best manager in the world’ and insists United’s stars should have been ‘working their socks off for him’.
That clearly wasn’t the case, with Mourinho falling out with several high-profile stars – including Paul Pogba – but Merson raged at the team’s lack of ‘professional pride’.
