Phil Neville believes that Scott McTominay has emerged as a key player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United as he has the character to make a difference in big matches.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season featuring 22 times in all competitions and he played the full 90 minutes during Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea.
With Manchester United deciding against signing replacements for Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini, McTominay looks set to have an important role to play this season.
