Mauricio Pochettino has sent his ‘best wishes’ to Jose Mourinho but refused to rule out the possibility of him replacing the Portuguese as manager of Manchester United.
The Red Devils ended Mourinho’s two-and-a-half year spell at the club on the back of a dismal start to the 2018/19 campaign and Pochettino has been earmarked as a potential successor at Old Trafford.
Various reports suggest that Tottenham’s manager is United’s number one choice for the job at the end of the season, with a caretaker boss set to take over the reins for the time being.
Pochettino, though, stressed that it was not his place to discuss the recent rumours and instead passed on a message of support to Mourinho. Read more
