The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday arraigned Junior Jamiu, Joseph Olayode and Jamiu Busari before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged burglary.
The trio are being tried before Magistrate L.K.J Layeni on a two-count charge of conspiracy and burglary.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on May 27, at Etegbin area of Ajangbadi in Ojo Local Government Area.
He alleged that the defendants conspired to break the shop of one Ismaila Asunmo, now late, in a bid to steal from him.
Uche said that the defendants were, however, apprehended in the process.
The offence, according to him, contravenes the provisions of sections 309 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The court granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties in the like sum.Layeni adjourned the case until June 19 for trial. (NAN)
