The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of two occupants of a commercial vehicle travelling along the Emohua- Kalabari area of East-West road.
Although details of the incident were sketchy as of the time of filing this report, the police said it occurred at the same spot where a similar kidnap took place a fortnight ago.
The state acting Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident, said information available from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area revealed that only two persons were abducted, while the driver escaped.
Iringe-Koko said efforts were on to ensure that the victims were rescued unhurt and to forestall future occurrence.
