Police nab 4 suspected ‘Yahoo’ Boys, 6 Cybercrime school trainees in Lagos (Leadership)

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended 4 suspected internet fraudsters, popularly called ‘Yahoo Boys’, and six other trainees of a cyberfraud academy in the Iju-Ishaga area of the state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed the arrests to newsmen on Wednesday.

He said, “During the successful operations, the police detectives apprehended four ‘Yahoo’ experts, of ages 22, 23, 25, and 26, who were running the notorious school. (Read more)

Family seeks help as kidnapper abducts 5-year-old daughter in Lagos (Punch)

The family of Memunah Abdulrahman is appealing to the public for assistance after their five-year-old daughter was abducted by a suspected kidnapper in the Ejigbo area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt on Tuesday that the missing girl was abducted on March 9, 2025, while she and her sister were returning from an Islamic school.

According to sources, upon reaching a popular supermarket in the community, the suspect approached Abdulrahman and her sister and led them inside the store. (Read more)

Police arrest ‘human traffickers, cult-suspect’ (TheNation)

Operatives at the Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos have arrested suspected human traffickers and cultists, a statement by the zonal spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Police Ayuba Umma said yesterday.

Umma said the zonal command also recovered firearms, ammunition and voter’s cards from some criminals.

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested at Ayobo, Ipaja in Lagos, while the alleged cultists were nabbed at Ijebu-Ife in Ogun State. (Read more)

Police rescue two kidnap victims, hunt for alleged abductors (Guardian)

The Police Command in Lagos State says it has rescued two kidnap victims and launched a search for their alleged abductors.

The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.

Hundeyin said that the alleged kidnappers abducted the victims on Wednesday at Ijede in the Ikorodu area of the state. (Read more)

Ex-Police officer allegedly kills 2 family members over land dispute in Badagry (NAN)

The Yovoyan community in Badagry, Lagos, was thrown into mourning on Tuesday morning when an ex-police officer allegedly shot and killed two family members and one other person over a land dispute.

A Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that Mr Richard Atideka, Mrs Latevi Atideka, both from Yovoyan community,  and Mr Muji Onilude from the neighboring Gberefu community, were killed by the ex-police officer and his accomplice.A survivor of the attack, Mr David Atideka, recounted the harrowing experience, stating that the incident occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. in the Atideka compound.
