Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command from Bode Thomas Division have rescued two suspected thieves from an angry mob.

The State Police Commandโ€™s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this in a post on his X handle on Wednesday.

Hundeyin said the suspects and others at large, robbed a woman of her expensive phone leading to the anger of the mob.

According to him, โ€œWhile a passerby was making a phone call at about 11 pm, five young men in a tricycle accosted her and robbed her of her expensive phone.

โ€œShe quickly raised the alarm, prompting people around to go after the men. Three escaped while two were apprehended.

โ€œOfficers of Bode Thomas Division got wind of this and raced to the scene. They arrived quickly enough to rescue Kehinde Olayinka โ€˜mโ€™ aged 22 and Junior Olanrewaju โ€˜mโ€™ aged 21 from an angry mob.

He added, โ€œInvestigation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.โ€ (Leadership)
