Nipsey Hussle posthumously teams up with DJ Drama, Jeezy, and Blxst on the brusque “Raised Different” (Uproxx)
DJ Drama’s seventh studio album, I’m Really Like That, is out today with a tracklist that features the late, great Nipsey Hussle, Tyler The Creator, the DJ’s Generation Now artists Jack Harlow and Lil Uzi Vert, and more.
Nipsey Hussle appears on the brusque track “Raised Different” alongside Atlanta rapper Jeezy and fellow West Coaster Blxst, who sings the hook. Nipsey’s posthumous verse focuses on the spoils of success but also warns foes about the consequences for pushing their luck with him. “Y’all want verbal,” he barks. “We candle your curb up.” Meanwhile, Jeezy’s verse takes stock of hip-hop’s recent run of losses: “They buried Takeoff today, let me pay my respect / Plus, it’s Dolph’s anniversary, you just don’t be next.”
In the run-up to the release of I’m Really Like That, Drama promoted the album with a string of clips reproducing scenes from the 1992 classic Juice including their original actors like Queen Latifah. Khalil Kain and Jermaine Hopkins also reprised their roles, with Jim Jones filling in for the late Tupac Shakur. You can check out more of those clips below. Read more
Drake pens poem about manifesting success while linking with Jim Jones (HipHopDX)
Drake and Jim Jones‘ recent link-up in the Sunshine State inspired Drizzy to get poetic as he’s taken a moment to reflect on his journey to success.
The OVO-Dipset connection went down in Miami on Tuesday night (March 28). Drake has expressed his admiration for the Harlem crew in the past – and even brought them out at his show at the iconic Apollo Theater earlier this year – and he seems to be really grateful that his idols have become his peers.
“One day I will tell the masses the story of how I manifested this whole thing while working on myself and a million other things,” he wrote on Instagram with photos from his night with the Capo. “I left nothing I cared about behind. Not a person. Not a concept. Not a cent. No lie. When I closed my eyes and pictured myself on my way I would see all of us going. And so we went… And went. And went.” Read more

Mark Cuban asks Elon Musk the question all Twitter users are asking this week (TheStreet)
Ever since he bought Twitter in October 2022, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has not been shy about making changes — many of which seem hastily planned at best.
One of his most well-known changes (well, besides firing most of the staff and setting up customer-service inquiries with an auto-responding poop emoji) was to Twitter Blue, a perk-rich subscription service the microblogging platform introduced in June 2021.
Musk decided to sweeten the deal on the subscription by making Twitter’s famous blue checkmark a part of it, taking it away from folks who have already had it for free for a decade or more. Read more
