The Buhari Media Organisation on Tuesday asked security agencies to investigate what it described as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar’s “unholy romance with foreign bodies especially the United States of America, in pursuit of a mandate he never had.”
The group made the call in a statement by its Chairman, Niyi Akinsiju; and Secretary, Cassidy Madueke.
The organisation accused Atiku of seeking to destabilise the country in a bid to realise his failed presidential ambition.
It claimed that the former vice president had been lobbying the US authorities to recognise him as Nigeria’s President despite his electoral defeat in the February 23 election. Read more
