Regina Hall is definitely pushing the envelope in Hollywood. The American actress On Thursday became the first black woman in the New York Film Critics Circleโ€™s 83-year history of the association.

The actress was a recipient of the award for her role in the Magnolia Pictures comedy, Support The Girls, released earlier this year.

Also, Regina King won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Sharon Rivers in Barry Jenkinsโ€™ adaptation of James Baldwinโ€™s If Beale Street Could Talk.
