The Lagos State Police Command has invited a Lagos-based businessman, Amarah Kennedy, for questioning over the circulation of nude photos of his ex-lovers.
The PUNCH reports that Kennedy has continued to circulate the nude photos of two single mothers whom he previously had relationships with.
PUNCH Metro learnt that he sent the photos to the WhatsApp platform of the church of one of the women identified simply as Kester. Read more
LAWMA to begin sealing properties without waste bins Friday (Channels)
The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has announced its intention to commence a seal exercise on homes without waste bins on Lagos Island and Mainland beginning from July 7.
The Executive Director, Finance of LAWMA, Mr. Kunle Adebiyi, in a statement on Wednesday by the Head, Public Affairs, Mrs Folashade Kadiri, said this follows an earlier issuance of abatement notices to the affected areas two months ago.
Adebiyi urged property owners and residents to procure adequate waste bins for their homes, adding that sufficient notice had been given to tenements to procure the standard waste bins. Read more

The Ekiti State government has announced a ban on the planned three-day kissing marathon to set the Guinness World Record in the state.
A group identified as Sugartee in an advert making around in the state and social media had scheduled July 7 for the commencement of the longest world kissing marathon in a popular amusement park in the state capital.
However, the state government through a letter dated July 3, 2023, from the Ministry of Arts and Culture addressed to the Ekiti State Hoteliers Association while announcing the ban on the scheduled competition said any facility that hosted the event would be severely sanctioned. Read more

Mmesoma Ejikeme, the Anambra student who was accused of manually inflating her 2023 UTME result by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Wednesday confirmed that she received an automated text message from JAMB indicating that her score was 249.
Mmesoma made this known during an interview with Sunrise Daily on Channels Television which was monitored by The PUNCH.
JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, had earlier revealed that the candidate sent a series of messages to the board’s automated telecoms system, including the results showing an aggregate of 362. Read more

The fall fest season is revving up.
The Toronto Film Festival said Wednesday that French director Ladj Ly’s new feature Les Indésirables will world premiere at its 48th edition, running from September 7-17.
It is the first international world premiere title to be unveiled by TIFF ahead of fuller lineup details in the coming weeks. Last week, organizers said Searchlight’s Taika Waititi soccer comedy Next Goal Wins will have its world premiere there.
“Les Indésirables” is Ly’s second fiction feature after his award-winning debut Les Misérables, which won the Cannes Jury Prize in 2019 and went on to make its North American premiere at TIFF that same year. Read more

Actress Allison Mack has been released from prison early following her involvement in a sex cult.

Two-time Olympic triple jumper Ana José Tima was banned for three years in a doping case, track and field’s Athletics Integrity Unit said Wednesday.
José Tima also was disqualified from all results since January 2022 including her 10th place at the world championships held last year in Eugene, Oregon.
The 33-year-old Dominican Republic athlete is suspended until January 2025. She earned a one-year reduction from a potential four-year ban for admitting her doping, the AIU said. Read more
