A group of armed robbers on Thursday invaded a hotel in Igwurita, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State and killed a guest of the hotel.
It was learnt that the hoodlums had forced their way into the hotel without much hindrance and got those at the reception to take them to some of the rooms the guests were relaxing.
The guests were dragged to a place and ordered to lie on the ground while their belongings, including cash and mobile phones, were taken away from them.
A source close to one of the victims said the deceased had refused to lie on the ground when he was directed to do so by the armed robbers. This was said to have angered one of the hoodlums, who shot him. Read more
