Roman Burki has called Harry Kane a ‘beast’ after his goal secured a 1-0 victory for Spurs against Borussia Dortmund to send them through to the Champions League quarter-finals.
Kane had missed Spurs’ 3-0 first leg victory at Wembley due to an ankle injury but returned for the second leg in Germany to secure a convincing 4-0 aggregate victory for his team.
Although Dortmund applied considerable pressure to Spurs’ defence in the first-half in a bid to overturn a 3-0 deficit, they were unable to find a way through and Kane’s goal against the run of play shortly after half-time effectively ended the contest.
Despite being starved of service throughout, Kane took his one opportunity clinically, seizing on a through ball from Moussa Sissoko to bury an unstoppable finish beyond Burki into the top corner and send the visiting fans into raptures. Read more
