Russo brothers ‘not devastated or surprised’ Spider-Man is leaving MCU (Metro)

After it was revealed Spider-Man would be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe after negotiations between Marvel Studios and Sony fell flat, directing duo Anthony and Joe Russo have revealed they’re not at all surprised.

In fact, they sort of saw it coming, after being there for the battle to get Spider-Man in their films at all.

The duo, who directed Captain America: The Winter Solider, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame for the film company revealed their thoughts at Spidey’s departure. Read more
