Itse Sagay, Chairman of Nigeria’s Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Thursday in Abuja dismissed calls for the resignation of Kemi Adeosun, the country’s minister of finance over the controversies around her National Youth Service Corps certificate.
Sagay reacted to the issue in Abuja during the workshop on the United Kingdom Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO), organised by PACAC, UK National Crime Agency and the Department for International Development (DfID).
The chairman called on President Muhammadu Buhari to reject calls for the sack of the minister over the allegation that she skipped the NYSC programme and forged an exemption certificate.
Asked what he thought about the government’s refusal to react to the issue, Sagay said: “I don’t know why the government has not reacted.
