Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is among the dignitaries expected to officially inaugurate the newly built state-of-the-art LGS2 Data Centre by a leading carrier-neutral data centre operator, Rack Centre, on April 10, 2025.
The governor, who confirmed his attendance for the inauguration, to be led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre, Lars Johannisson, at the Lagos House Marina, said: โIt was good to hear about Rack Centreโs upcoming launch of its new $120 million Tier III data Centre, also known as LGS2. This facility will enhance Rack Centreโs presence in West Africa and establish Lagos as a key player in the regionโs tech landscape.โ
According to Johannisson, the facility would redefine the standards of data centre infrastructure in Nigeria, describing the newly built facility as a monumental leap for Nigeriaโs digital infrastructure landscape, offering unparalleled scalability and efficiency for businesses navigating the digital era.
