Senate President Bukola Saraki has reacted on his supposed declaration for the 2019 presidential election.
The former Kwara governor said the comment credited to him as nursing a purported plan to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari was false.
Olu Onemola, Sarakiโs Special Assistant on New Media Thursday, explained that his principal stating that he was โconsideringโ cannot be interpreted to mean a declaration, Daily post reports.
He reacted via his Twitter handle to the Bloomberg article entitled โNigerian Senate head says heโs considering running for presidentโ.
Onemola said: โConsideringโ is not a declaration. At the appropriate time, the President of Senate will be specific about his aspiration for 2019.
โMoreover, the Bloomberg interview was 90% on the economy, and not politics.
โThe President of the Senate has been clear that at the right time, Nigerianโs will know what his plans are.โ
