The meeting of Roma and Napoli is the key game of Round 29 in the 2018/19 Serie A season, while Juventus will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the domestic campaign. And customers can catch all this action on DStv and GOtv the home for the best top-flight football from Italy.
Roma, in their second match under new manager Claudio Ranieri, slumped to a 2-1 loss away to SPAL which put a major dent in their hopes of finishing in the top four and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Yet getting the better of Napoli, who have won on their last two trips to the Stadio Olimpico, will be no straightforward task for the Giallorossi. The Neapolitans claimed a 4-2 win over Udinese before the international break and have lost just once (to runaway leaders Juventus) in their last 10 league matches.
On the subject of Juve, they suffered a shock loss at the hands of Genoa earlier this month to give up their unbeaten status, though it arrived just a few days after the emotionally and physically draining victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and is therefore somewhat more understandable.
Massimiliano Allegri will want a strong response from the Bianconeri when they host Empoli, a team struggling against the prospect of relegation but buoyed by a recent clutch win over Frosinone.
Elsewhere, Internazionale will hope to back up their win over derby rivals Milan by overcoming Lazio on Sunday night. The Nerazzurri look favourites to go on and claim third place on the log, but Le Aquile are in good form (they thrashed Parma 4-1 before the international break) and head to the San Siro looking to boost their own European ambitions.
Milan, meanwhile, must bounce back quickly from their derby defeat when they face Sampdoria at Estadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Manager Gennaro Gattuso was left angered by his team’s performance (as well as a touchline fracas involving players Franck Kessie and Lucas Biglia) and will demand a response against Samp.
Other games to keep an eye out for include Udinese looking for a victory at home to Genoa; Atalanta will look to extend a three-match unbeaten run when they face Parma at Stadio Ennio Tardini; and Fiorentina will chase a return to winning form when they host Torino at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
