Sesor Empowerment Foundation delivered food relief packages to 100 displaced women and their families across the Lekki-Ajah corridor in Lagos State in an inspiring act of compassion. Despite battling heavy rains and floods, the Sesor team ensured that approximately 800 individuals received essential food items.
The outreach, supported by OSIWA through Global Rights, provided vital supplies including rice, vegetable oil, tomato paste, smoked fish, salt and seasoning cubes. For many recipients, this aid came at a crucial time as they faced increasing challenges due to recent flooding and soaring food and fuel prices.
Liatu, a local woman who sells provisions, expressed her gratitude, exclaiming, “Thank God Sesor remembers us in these hard times o!” She even insisted on giving biscuits to the team as a token of appreciation.
The dedication of Sesor’s team and volunteers was evident as they navigated flooded areas, delivering packages directly to the doorsteps of those in need. Their efforts brought relief and hope to many struggling families.
Meanwhile, Sesor extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to this initiative and calls for continued support to sustain their impactful outreach programmes.
