Singer Simi, like Sheyi Shay, is extending her acting skills to the big screen as she takes a role in Kunle Afolayan’s ‘Mokalik’.
The movie tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who must make his choice in life, in a complex society and a future full of uncertainties.
The story which captures in the space of 12 hours all the drama in a typical mechanic garage, has Simi play the role of an adviser to the child, helping him out in making careful decisions and weighing his options in life.
The shooting of the movie will begin August 27.
Simi’s debut appearance is coming after Sheyi Shey made her Nollywood debut last month with her star turn in the Biola Alabi vehicle, ‘Lara and The Beat.’
Afolayan will be featuring some of Nigeria’s old talents, including Yoruba comic actors like Ayo Ogunshina (Papa Lolo) and Dayo Akinpelu, (Alabi Yellow) alongside a few other regular actors.
