OIe Gunnar Solskjaer has criticised Alexis Sanchez for failing make it clear that he was struggling with a hamstring injury during Manchester United’s win over Reading.
Sanchez played through the pain until the 64th minute of the FA Cup clash and subsequently was forced to miss United’s victory over Tottenham last Sunday.
The Chilean forward returned to training this week and Solskjaer is hopeful that he will be available to face Brighton at Old Trafford. Marouane Fellaini, meanwhile, will be out for ‘three or four weeks’ with a calf problem.
Sanchez has only made two appearances under Solskjaer and will be desperate to impress against Brighton if he passes his fitness test ahead of the clash. Read more
