The Industry Summit/Awards (TIES) has honoured Mrs. Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami, who is the Head, Marketing & Communications of Stanbic IBTC Bank with The Industry Star Award 2022.
In a letter dated Monday, February 27th, 2023, the Industry Awards- 2022 Team of Assessors led by Ms. Clara Chinwe Okoro. Chairman of Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJANY/Producer of Brand World TV) announced Mrs Oyefeso-Odusami as one of the winners of the 2022 Industry Star Award (formerly The Industry Lifetime Award) in the marketing category.
According to the organisers, “Your contributions towards the growth and advancement of integrated marketing communication in Nigeria particularly the marketing industry, is evident in the past few years, therefore, the Team of Assessor finds you worthy to be conferred with this coveted prize in the 2022 ceremony”.
Powered by The Industry Newspaper, the award was subsequently conferred on the recipient at a ceremony on Friday, March 31st, 2023 in Lagos alongside other illustrious professionals.
Oyefeso-Odusanmi has distinguished herself in the Corporate Communications sector for close to two decades. Her great strides at Stanbic IBTC Bank, which have resulted in good and great outcomes with impressive results for the bank’s stakeholders are testimonies to her renowned intellectual and proffesional pedigree.
Described as a passionate, detailed, marketing and corporate communications expert, experienced sponsorship specialist and corporate marketing strategist, she has equally impacted positively and proactively in the bank’s strategic growth and corporate image development.
She has held other positions at the same bank including Acting Head, Marketing and Communications (July 2018-January, 2019), and Corporate Investment Banking Marketing Manager (May 2017-July, 2018).
Oyefeso-Odusami was the Head of Sponsorship and Events at FirstBank of Nigeria Ltd (November, 2010 and May, 2017). In that capacity, she saw to the improvement of the bank’s overall strategy for sponsorship and events, including delivery of events within or under approved budgets; while ensuring delivery of contractual commitments.
Earlier, she had worked as an Executive Director at Change-A-Life; and, for nine years, held various marketing and sponsorship positions at British Airways.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from Lagos State University, LASU, and a PGD in Business Administration from the University of Leicester, Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami is a member of several professional bodies, including but not limited to the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, NIMN and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.
