Super Eagles player, Olanrewaju Kayode has dragged his wife, Ezinne Dora before an Abuja High Court to seek dissolution of their union, citing irretrievable breakdown of the marriage.
Additionally, Kayode is demanding N1 billion in damages from the founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), Tobi Adegboyega, for emotional trauma, financial loss, and loss of goodwill due to an alleged adulterous affair with Ezinne.
The plea, detailed in a cross-petition dated July 1, follows months of public accusations between Kayode and Ezinne who got married since 2013 but have accused each other of infidelity, fraud, and domestic violence. Read more

The management of Plateau State Tourism Corporation announced that the missing hyena from Jos Wildlife Park has been successfully found, tranquillized, captured, and safely returned to its enclosure.
In a statement issued in Jos, the state capital, General Manager Chuwang Pwajok expressed gratitude to the public for their calm and cooperation during the search and rescue efforts.
“We deeply appreciate the general public for remaining calm and cooperative. This has greatly assisted in the search and rescue of the animal,” Pwajok stated. Read more
Police nab kidnapper of 18-month-old baby in Kano (Punch)
Operatives of Kano State police have arrested a 22-year-old suspected kidnapper, Zakariyya Muhammad, 16 hours after kidnapping an 18-month-old child.
The arrest was made known in a statement by the Police Command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa on Tuesday.
Haruna said Muhammad was arrested on Thursday following a report from a resident who claimed that the father of the victim informed him of the incident. Read more

4 injured in Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway accident (Vanguard)
The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, (TRACE) has confirmed that four persons sustained various degrees of injuries when a commercial bus lost control at the Toll-gate area of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
Mr Adekunle Ajibade, South-West Zonal Commander of TRACE, confirmed the accident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun.
Ajibade explained that the accident happened at about 9.15 a.m when the commercial bus marked APP 427 YA lost control and hit the victims. Read more

Ronald Roland, 50, was captured last Tuesday at his condominium in the coastal town of Guarujá on suspicion of running a sprawling money laundering scheme and supplying drug cartels in Mexico.

An explosive review of the nursing watchdog has found a toxic and dysfunctional culture at “every level” and an organisation that turned a blind eye to serious sexual, physical and racist abuse.
Shocking failures within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) include a seven-year delay in striking off a nurse who was accused of raping a colleague and sexually assaulting a patient.
In another finding, the NMC – which regulates more than 800,000 staff – took no action despite knowing that a nurse or midwife had been accused of accessing category A images of child sexual abuse. The NMC said it could not find a record of the case. Read more
