The wait is over for fans of Supermom, the beloved reality TV show that celebrates the extraordinary lives of mothers across Nigeria. After a long hiatus, the show is set to return in 2025 with a fresh season, bigger prizes, and a renewed mission to honour the unsung heroes of society—mothers.

Sola Fajobi, CEO of Digital Interactive Media (DIM) and executive producer of Supermom, confirmed the show’s return during a recent media briefing. “Supermom is fulfilling to me because it is designed to celebrate mothers,” Fajobi said. “A real mother is someone who shelters, guides and cares for a child. She’s a patient and virtuous woman who is always ready to do everything for her children.”

Fajobi emphasised that motherhood extends beyond biological ties, encompassing adoptive mothers, stepmothers, and women who assume maternal roles. “A mother nurtures, cares for, and provides unconditional love to her children, whether biological, adoptive, or otherwise. This is why we have decided to bring back Supermom,” he added.

The 2025 season promises to be bigger and better, with Abidemi Alli-Balogun, the show’s brand manager, revealing exciting details. “The winner will receive a brand-new house, while the first runner-up will get a brand-new car. The second runner-up will also take home cash prizes,” Alli-Balogun stated.

Top local and international brands have already shown interest in sponsoring the show, and production is in full swing. The crew is scouting locations and preparing for what is expected to be a groundbreaking season.

Supermom will air on at least 50 television stations across Nigeria every weekend, starting in the second quarter of 2025. The show, which has previously celebrated mothers of famous Nigerian celebrities, continues to resonate with viewers for its heartfelt portrayal of maternal strength and sacrifice.

As Fajobi aptly put it, “Super mothers can’t be over-celebrated.” With its grand return, Supermom is set to once again shine a spotlight on the incredible women who shape lives and inspire generations.
