Thiago Silva has been pleasantly ‘surprised’ by how quickly his Chelsea team-mates have adapted to Thomas Tuchel’s style of football and says the club are ‘going in the right direction’ again under their new head coach.
A mid-season managerial change was a high-risk move and could have further derailed Chelsea’s campaign after an already miserable period towards the end of Frank Lampard’s tenure but Tuchel has been a revelation since taking over the reins at Stamford Bridge.
The first defeat of the Tuchel era came at the weekend as the Blues were thumped 5-2 at home to Premier League strugglers West Brom and Silva’s sending off in the 29th minute proved to a major turning point in the game. (Metro)
