Tinubu mourns victims of Ogun gas explosion

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday sympathised with victims of the recent gas explosion at Ita-Oshin, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

“The President also sympathises with the Ogun State Government and residents of the state over this tragedy,” a statement signed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, read.

The statement is titled, ‘President Tinubu sympathises with victims of Ogun has explosion.’

At least, one person was reported dead, six others were injured and six vehicles were burnt in a gas tanker explosion on Saturday at Ita Osin along the Abeokuta-Sango-Lagos Expressway.

The accident reportedly happened at about 4:10 pm.

The explosion from a solitary gas truck rippled through the community, resulting in the loss of life and properties.

Tinubu commended Governor Dapo Abiodun on his valiant efforts to arrest the situation and immediately restore calm to the community.

He also assured the people of Ogun State, particularly the victims of his support in this moment of grief. (Punch)
