Jimi Agbaje, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, has called on all eligible voters to vote for PDP and ensure they defend their votes in the Saturday, February 23 and Saturday, March 9, 2019 elections.
The PDP candidate who spoke against the background of growing intimidation and harassment of his supporters, called for a level-playing ground for everybody irrespective of party affiliation.
He assured the people of Lagos State of his commitment to all his promises, insisting that having gone round the state, he is in a better position to know exactly what to do to change their lives.
“I have crisscrossed your local government areas and wards and I have heard so many of you. You are just like me, so we must think and get solutions to our problems.
“The question is: what is the best for our state? As we seek solutions, I must thank you for your support these past months. It has been my comfort as you have given confidence in the face of what used to be a mighty opposition.
“We are confident that a fundamental change will soon happen in Lagos State. But as a people, we must stand our ground and vote. After we have voted, we must guard our votes, take pictures if you have to and challenge anyone who tempers with the voting process.
“It is your right. Democracy must prevail. Together, I am confident that we will write the next great chapter of the Lagos story,” he said.
