‘Hide, so that ye shall not be found’
He reportedly went into hiding on Sunday evening, while there were reports that he was abducted between Esa-Oke in Osun State and Aramoko-Ekiti in Ekiti.
His purported abductors later contacted church members to demand the ransom, which they insisted must be paid latest by Thursday(today) to prevent the reverend from being killed. Detectives, however, intercepted the pastor’s accomplice, Sunday, who came to pick up the ransom at Okeyinmi area of Ado-Ekiti, after which he led them to the hotel where the pastor had been hiding.

Aunty Oby Ezekwesili, don’t teach us nonsense
Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has asked Nigerians to take charge of their future, adding that the passive nature of citizens was being exploited by the political class.
She said, “The citizens occupy the highest office. What will guarantee progress in perpetuity is the office of the citizens. We must all make a commitment to activate our office as citizens; that we are tired of being docile citizens of Nigeria and thinking of ourselves as powerless. You are powerful beyond what you think. Stop swallowing your voice. Stop being distracted by daily bread issues. We need a coalition of forces of citizens to say, ‘we can reclaim our land.’”
Please, please, Aunty say another thing biko. You had your chance to walk the talk but blew it. Na only high-sounding sermon Nigerian elite like to give. And then they leave the rogues to take action. Mtcheew.
Shehu Sani Vs. El Rufai: A venomous duel
Sani said this in a Facebook post while responding to el-Rufai’s comments online. El-Rufai had posted photos of Sani and former lawmaker, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, mocking them and boasting that he was responsible for their defeat in the last elections and their “permanent” retirement from politics.
In his response, however, Sani described the governor “as a neophyte who relies on the popularity of President Buhari to win elections.” Sani added, “You can’t claim to have ‘retired’ anyone from politics when all your life is about hanging on President Buhari and dropping his name to achieve your goals…Before I left the APC, I told PMB and Oshiomhole and Tinubu that you will insult, betray and fight them. It is in your DNA.”
LOL. Nigerian politicians are just petty drama queens. One week one trouble. Netflix should come here and source for materials abeg.
Much ado about nothing
The 9th Senate on Thursday [today] rejected a motion raised through a point of order by a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator, Istifanius Dung Gyang, urging the upper legislative chamber to debate the speech President Muhammadu Buhari delivered on Democracy Day 2019. The motion was shut down in a voice vote, which saw more senators opting not to back the motion.
The President of the Senate, however, cut him short, saying he had to seek the consent of the senators for the approval whether he should proceed or not. The motion was shut down as the nays carried the day.
So na dis kind thing our lawmakers dey spend time dey deliberate on? Mtcheew.
