Here’s when not to use your saliva

A medical doctor, Victor-Bryan Nwala, has shared a medical tip on Twitter, warning against using saliva as lubricant during sexual intercourse because it might lead to infection. Nwala tweeted this on his social media page.

He said that people should avoid using saliva as a lubricant when trying to “get things moist” during intercourse.

“Saliva is not a lubricant! The result can upset your vaginal microbiome and leave you susceptible to developing yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis,” he tweeted. “Any STI in the throat or mouth can be transmitted to the genitals through saliva.”

Children of the world, una don hear ba? Thank God I’m not guilty of this. Biko don’t ask me what I’m guilty of!

Lagos Commissioner of Police disses police officers

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Zubairu Muazu, has inaugurated a statement-taking room for the CID Panti, Yaba, warning that policemen collecting money for bail were not different from kidnappers and would not be spared. The commissioner said that statement-taking was the foundation of police investigation.

“I advise that we stay far away from corruption. It gives us bad name as it is unprofessional and unethical,” he said.

“We have always said bail is free and we mean it. I keep saying that any policeman who collects money for bail is not different from a kidnapper. The only difference is that everyone knows where you kept the suspects.”

Police is your friend. Until dem wear you handcuff. Really, there are some friends you should avoid.

Elisha Abbo will not be tamed

There was a mild drama on Tuesday at the Senate investigative hearing on the alleged assault levelled against Adamawa Senator Elisha Abbo. The upper chamber last week resolved to raise an ad-hoc committee to probe allegation of assault against Senator Abbo at an Abuja adult toy shop.

The probe degenerated when Abbo appeared before the seven-member committee and declined to talk on the matter. The committee members, however, agreed that Senator Abbo should speak to the committee behind closed doors. He said: “I cannot talk because the matter is in court. Why should I be talking before the camera? I cannot talk. I cannot be speaking before this committee because that would be subjudice since the matter under investigation is already before the court. So, why should I be facing the camera?”

Before the committee went into a closed session, Abbo said that he decided to apologize last week in order to protect the institution of the Senate.

LOL. I knew this Oga only apologised because he knows that doing that will quieten all the rancour. Next time, Baba will make sure to off all ‘off-ables’ before dishing another set of Thor-derous slaps.

“[Don’t] set your ovaries free!”

President John Magufuli has urged Tanzania’s women to “set your ovaries free” and bear more children as a way to help boost the economy into a regional powerhouse, a step critics said would instead worsen inequality and poverty.

“When you have a big population you build the economy. That’s why China’s economy is so huge,” he said, citing India and Nigeria as other examples of countries that gained from a demographic dividend.

“I know that those who like to block ovaries will complain about my remarks. Set your ovaries free, let them block theirs,” he told a gathering in his home town of Chato. Since taking office in 2015, Magufuli has launched an industrialisation campaign that has helped buoy economic growth, which has averaged six to seven per cent annually in recent years.

LOL. Which kind presidents God just dey bless Africa with sef? And to think he mentioned Naija as an example. Somebody should tell that man that it’s the too much ‘goal-scoring’ without adequate financial plans that is causing Nigerians a lot of wahala. Brothers and sisters, if una no get concrete plan on how to care for a child, abeg do what Small Doctor sang about in ‘Penalty’.

Thou shall not fear VAR

As the quarter-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations get underway, football fans in Nasarawa State have advised the Super Eagles to focus on their encounter against South Africa. The fans said they shouldnot be distracted by decisions made by the Video Assistant Referee which is to be used in the encounter.

Eche Amos, Media Officer of the Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation warned that the Super Eagles should not be distracted or cowed by whatever decision made by VAR but concentrate fully on how to maximise their chances and win the game against South Africa. “Players get jittery over the decision of VAR. I don’t want that to be the case for our boys. They should concentrate and not be distracted irrespective of what VAR decides. I am happy many of our players are already exposed to VAR.

“So it’s not new to them but it is important that they are not distracted by the VAR or centre referee’s decisions. They should play a good game and come out with the best result for Nigerians,” he said.

Exactly. If them like, make them give us another Madagascar type of show, NFF sef don dey find opportunity to avoid paying match bonuses.
