Fire on the (Epe) Mountain
A top aide of the former governor, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, confirmed that EFCC operatives raided Ambode’s home. He revealed that Ambode was not in the country and the home had been raided in his absence.
The commission’s spokesman, Mr Tony Orilade said that the operatives were in Ambode’s house as part of investigations. He said the visit was not a raid but “We are there for ongoing investigation.”
LOL. Now I see why Jimi Agbade appears every four-four years: if you no too make noise or ruffle feathers, nobody will barge into your Epe home. Hmmm.
Dangerously lost and quietly found
Earlier, the IRT operatives had come under attack from soldiers attached to Battalion 93, Takum, Taraba State, as they conveyed Wadume from the scene of his arrest. Three policemen and two civilians were killed during the incident, while five other Police officers were injured.
The Force spokesman, Frank Mba, in a statement confirmed that Wadume was re-arrested in the late hours of Monday at his hideout at Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano State.

When he sees her
A police officer faces criminal charges after she was caught texting while driving her patrol car with no seat belt on. The unidentified cop was filmed by Marcus Evans, of Killeen in Texas, with the clip uploaded to Facebook last Tuesday.
It shows the woman driving her Ford Explorer with one hand, while apparently looking away from the road to check her phone. The cop makes no attempt to hide the device, and lifts it up to the wheel – despite studies showing texting while driving is six times more dangerous than driving drunk. She then holds the phone up to her mouth.
Evans can be heard to say ‘Totally oblivious’ as he lets the police officer drive past him and out of sight.
Madam officer will get the sack. Oyibo no dey play with this kain thing.
SOS for Siasia
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has set up a team of lawyers to review the life ban sanction imposed on former Nigeria player and coach Samson Siasia by the FIFA Ethics Committee. A statement by the NFF quoted the NFF 2nd vice president, Seyi Akinwunmi, who is also a lawyer of more than three decades, as expressing shock over the suspension of Siasia.
He said, “The NFF was shocked to learn of the investigation and subsequent decision by the FIFA Ethics Committee (Adjudicatory Chamber) placing a life ban on Siasia. But we have however now received documents, including one known as the Motivated Decision, and we have handed them to our lawyers to study and provide legal advice to the Federation.
“It is a massive sanction on one of our legends. Siasia is a fooball legend but most importantly he is a Nigerian. We must therefore be interested in the matter and be properly advised.”
Okay na. But really, Siasia’s village people been working overtime.
