EFCC and the bigger suspects
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday stated it was monitoring more suspected Nigerian fraudsters apart from the 80 names released by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Speaking at a press conference at the commissionโs zonal office in Ibadan, Ebelo said some bankers and Bureau De Change operators conniving to swindle victims were also on the list. He disclosed that a banker was arrested on Monday and was facing interrogation.
So EFCC knew these โbigger suspectsโ all this while and yet waited for FBI to strike first? This is why, nowadays, patient dogs no longer eat the fattest boneโthey eat nothing.

Buhariโs few bad apples
โLet me also say that there are few Nigerians in the Diaspora that are giving us a bad name by engaging in criminal activities,โ Buhari said at a meeting with leaders of the Nigerian Community living in Japan on Thursday. โThese Nigerians are a minority, they do not represent the values of our country, and I plead with them to change their ways.โ
Buhariโs assertion came a week after United State authorities named close to 100 Nigerians in a massive fraud. Buhari, however, urged Nigerians in Japan to be good ambassadors of the country and continue to contribute their quota to their home and host countryโs development.
LOL. Thank God say Presido defend us today. At least heโs doing some things right.
โGive us our [Saturday] rights!โ
The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nigeria has appealed to the government to respect their worship dayโSaturdayโby not fixing elections or national examinations on those days.ย The President, Northern Nigeria Union Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Yohanna Harry has said that conducting elections and examinations on these days means denying their members from exceeding their civic right to worship.
โNigerians have the freedom of worship; they are supposed to be free to worship the way they want. It has become a thing of concern to our members to worship as our day of Sabbath is usually the day in which political elections are fixed,โ he said.
โAlso examinations are also fixed during those days and our students suffer so much because of their inability to worship God due to the fact that they write examinations on those daysโฆย The government has to understand our philosophy and grant us free worship on Saturday.โ
Hmmm. Never thought about this. But really, the students โsufferโ because they are writing exams when theyโd rather be in church? Hian. Anyway sha, FG over to you.
The wrong time for a testimony
Ms Kargbo, who worked as the presidentโs State Chief of Protocol had travelled to Nigeria to share her testimony, a handful of online medium had reported. The ex-presidential aide reportedly showed photos of her appointment letter and luxurious house during her testimony.
In a press release on Wednesday, Sierra Leoneโs Anti-Corruption Commission said Kargbo is being investigated. โWe will also look at her source of wealth in acquiring her house and other properties. If it contradicts the anti-corruption act or we find instances of unexplained wealth, she will be charged to court and will be asked to pay a fine,โ the release said.
Haba, so person can not go to church and thank God for stolen fundsโฆsorry, I mean for His mercies, again? What is this world coming to?
The dramas of a straight-from-hell boyfriend
A woman has avoided a prison sentence for emptying the accounts of elderly people while working at a bank, because she was being forced into it by her boyfriend.
Rohima Khanam, 22, secretly diverted cash from Halifax customers aged between 76 and 87 into her controlling boyfriendโs account.ย She took a total of ยฃ5,700 from four victims at the branch in Hyde, Greater Manchester, between January and March, 2017. Khanam was caught when the daughter of one of her victims noticed ยฃ4,500 missing from his account.
In mitigation, defence lawyer Adam Watkins said: โShe had entered an abusive relationship when she was in school at around the age of 16 and the nature of that relationship had an effect on her behaviour. Around the time of this offending she was living in a supported hostel and was using alcohol. Her relationship with that man is intrinsically linked to the offending.โ
SMH. She might have been controlled but then, na she use her own hand commit the deeds. So let her pay for her sins. And if after that she doesnโt part ways with the guy, thenโฆ
