I better pass my neighbour – Buhari
In a reply filed on his behalf by his lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), the president dared Atiku to produce his “educational certificates, indicating the schools attended by him, with dates,” before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal. He also said he surpassed Atiku in terms of acquisition of knowledge, certificates, laurels, medals and experience.
LOL. Sai Baba! That is all I’m going to say before I take over the tribunal’s job and begin to decide who is more qualified to rule Nigeria. But If you know you know.
Agriculture Vs. Oil: Lokpobiri foresees a dark future
Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has said God will not be merciful to Nigerians if they should abandon agriculture for oil. Lokpobiri said this, recently, at the restructuring and recapitalisation of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), in Abuja.
Lokpobiri said: “…if you go to Norway, what they get from agriculture is more than what they get from petroleum. Nigerians are just carried away by the few petroleum dollars that we have and abandoned what used to be the mainstay of the economy.
“The time has come for us to go back. As we said a few years ago, if we abandon agriculture because oil price is now $70, not even God or not even the devil will forgive us.”
Mtcheew. Make Nigerians face industry wey government never serious to elevate? Somebody should tell Mr. Heineken [Naija parents, we hail thee o] that some Nigerians are atheists. We are all right las las.
‘Don’t honour corrupt leaders, so that your days may be long’
Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has urged Nigerians to stop showing undue respect for corrupt public officials as part of efforts to win the war against corruption in the country. Shaibu said the practice where corrupt leaders were given chieftaincy titles and elevated by religious leaders should be discontinued and replaced with a reward system for hardworking and patriotic leaders.
He said, “As President Muhammadu Buhari will always say, ‘If we don’t kill corruption, corruption will kill us (Nigeria),’ we must all rise up to win the war against corruption in the country. People see public office as an avenue to make money for themselves, but this must be discontinued. Corrupt leaders should not be respected in society.”
LOL. This Oga is looking for whose legs to drag in the open of the market square. As if him go come pay person bail. As if it’s not one uncle like that that won Best Governor in 2018.
Emotional elimination by substitution
Winnersh Rangers, an English amateur football club has been fined £3,000 after a boy was substituted during a summer tournament. The 10-year-old boy’s family claimed he was the victim of ’emotional abuse’.
The boy was substituted during a pre-season tournament in 2018 while playing for the Aztec youth side.Despite the substitution he was signed up for training for the new season by his dad, but was suddenly removed in September and the family got a refund. His dad accused the club of racially targeting the boy and reported them to the council’s child protection department as well as taking them to court.
Club Secretary Phil Chick said, “The most important thing for us as a club is the children, we want them to enjoy playing football. If they are a good player that is purely a bonus for us. Substitutions are just a part of the game and the manager wanted to give everyone a fair chance and even playing time.”
It’s occurrences like this that throw light on why Oyibo people are believed to have lesser problems. SMH.
Slavia Prague itching for Hazardous conditions
Slavia Prague boss Jindrich Trpisovsky hopes Chelsea take them “seriously” and play Eden Hazard in their Europa League quarter-final second leg at Stamford Bridge tonight. Hazard, with 19 goals and 12 assists this season, was on the bench in the opening game, coming on after an hour.
“I think currently he’s the best player in the world,” said Trpisovsky. “And I’d love for him to play.”
He added: “Because if he plays that means Chelsea take us seriously. And if we win…we would beat the best Chelsea, and we would be respected.”
Mtcheww. Una no know say when Hazard no dey play, Chelsea be like Danfo with two tyres? See how people use their own hands to kill and bury themselves.
