NYSC’s N30, 000 manna
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, on Thursday said that members of the National Youth Service Corps would earn the new minimum wage of N30,000. She said this during a media briefing on the activities of her ministry.
“We have looked at the report and what we are working on now is how we can finance it,” she said. “Apart from the increase of the minimum wage from N18, 000 to N30, 000, there is also a consequential adjustment that we have to negotiate with the labour unions.”

Naira Marley and EFCC inside the same trousers
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will on Monday arraign Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola, a.k.a. Naira Marley at the Federal High Court in Lagos for alleged online fraud, popularly known as’Yahoo Yahoo’.
The EFCC filed an 11-count charge of alleged credit card fraud against Fashola on May 14 in a suit marked FHC/L/178C/19. Some of the credit cards, according to the EFCC, bore the names Nicole Louise Malyon and Timea Fedorne Tatar. The agency said the alleged crimes contravened the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act and the Cyber Crimes Act.
But Naira Marley, according to his management, is not the owner of the laptop found with him by operatives of the EFCC. In the statement, it was claimed that the singer borrowed the laptop to enable him upload music, record videos and work while he is in Nigeria.
LOL. Still shaking my head on top that [disappointing & incriminating] press statement wey Naira Marley management release. That was a shoddy job powered by strong kush.
Miyetti bid don jam wall
He claimed former President Goodluck Jonathan promised to give them the money and that was what informed their decision to support his re-election in 2015. The Miyetti Allah chief, however, said that after Jonathan left, the initiative was suspended, hence the decision of the group to present the matter to the President Muhammadu Buhari government. “If we are going to have ranches, definitely, some support would come from government,” he said.
However, both the police and the Presidency denied ever discussing money with herdsmen.
LOL. Aside the carefree way money is being dispensed in this country, how una even expect this APC government to continue something wey Jonathan start? Una don use una hand do unaselves. Pele.
Daniel, the land grabber
A court in Kenya has ordered former President Daniel arap Moi to pay 1.06bn shillings ($10.5m; £8.2m) in compensation to a widow for illegally seizing her land. The former president, who remains Kenya’s longest-serving leader, was accused by Susan Cheburet Chelugui and her son David Chelugui of transferring their family land into his name two years after Ms Chelugui’s husband passed away.
Mr Moi was unable to provide the court any proof of how he came to possess the land, Judge Anthony Ombwayo said Mr Moi had behaved in a way that was “unconstitutional, irregular, unprocedural” and “tainted”.
Chai. And If you ask that man if he’s a Christian, he’ll say yes o. Common tenth commandment he cannot obey. With his head like Moi-moi.
