Tottenham willing to sell Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid for world record £225m (Metro)

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has looked to ward off interest from Real Madrid in Christian Eriksen by putting an enormous £225m price tag on the Danish playmaker.

The European champions are thought to see Eriksen as a possible replacement for Luka Modric and made an inquiry to Spurs over his availability.

Spanish newspaper Marca reports that a call was made between the clubs and Levy explained that Eriksen would only be allowed to leave for a world record £225m.

However, with Eriksen’s contract at Spurs coming to an end in 2020, the La Liga side are hoping the huge fee can be negotiated significantly. Read more
