Traffic agency calls for installation of CCTV cameras to monitor crashes (Nation)

Mr Seni Ogunyemi, the Corps Commander, Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps has called for the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras on major highways in the state to monitor road accidents.

Ogunyemi said this on Tuesday in Abeokuta while playing host to executive members of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Ogun Chapter in his office.

Ogunyemi, who was represented by the Deputy Corps Commander, Shola Bamidele, called for concerted efforts to minimize high rate of crashes in Ogun.

He said such efforts would reduce rate of casualties and rate of deaths resulting from road traffic crashes within the state. Read more
