In a devastating incident on December 4, 2023, a yet-to-be-identified motorcycle rider lost his life after a collision with a truck in Lagos State. The fatal accident occurred at the Alakija area, heading towards the Trade Fair Complex in the Ojo part of the state.
Reports indicate that the bike rider, who was transporting two uniformed men, met an untimely demise as a result of the collision, succumbing to his injuries instantly. Emergency responders are currently on-site, undertaking necessary actions to address the aftermath of the tragic incident.
The fate of the two uniformed men remains uncertain, and it is unclear whether they also suffered fatal consequences from the collision. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the occurrence via its Facebook handle, stating, “An accident involving a flat body truck and a bike has occurred at Alakija. Relevant agencies are on-site, handling the situation, and emergency agencies have been duly informed for evacuation purposes. Efforts towards evacuation are underway.”
