A transgender man who wants to be recognised as his child’s father can be identified, a judge has ruled.
Freddy McConnell gave birth to a baby but does not want to be described as the child’s mother on the birth certificate.
Instead he wants to be legally allowed to be registered as the father or parent.
Judge Sir Andrew McFarlane lifted a reporting restriction that barred Freddy from being named as the single parent involved in the case. Read more
