Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled defender Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the upcoming international break after the right-back sustained a calf injury in the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.
The Premier League champions left the Etihad with a share of the spoils after Gabriel Jesus levelled following Mohamed Salah’s opener from the spot in the first half.
Klopp was pleased with his side’s display but Alexander-Arnold was removed shortly after the hour-mark when he went down after sprinting back to defend a City counter-attack.
England face Ireland, Belgium and Iceland in the break but Klopp says Alexander-Arnold will play no part as the club await the results of his scan. (Metro)
