Some truck drivers on Wednesday blocked the Ganaja-lokoja-Ajaokuta expressway in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State over the shooting of their colleagues โ€“ a truck driver and his mate.

The incident happened when security operatives keeping vigil on the highway allegedly shot the duo for refusing to stop for checking at their roadblock when flagged down.

However, no life was lost, as the victims were rushed to the hospital after gunshot wounds. Read more 

4 suspected kidnappers killed in police operation (Guardian)

The police in Delta State have confirmed the killing of four suspected kidnappers during a joint operation with local hunters and anti-cult volunteers in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Council.

The spokesperson for the command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed the incident yesterday, stating that the operation took place yesterday, at about 3:00 p.m., following credible intelligence on the activities of the suspected kidnappers along the Abraka railway axis.

โ€œJoint operatives comprising the police, hunters, vigilante, and anti-cult volunteers engaged the suspected kidnappers and recovered one AK-47 rifle, along with 13 rounds of live ammunition,โ€ Edafe said. Read more

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis in April ordered the Trump administration to provide discovery evidence showing the process by which Abrego Garcia was mistakenly deported to his native El Salvador despite him being issued a 2019 court order barring his deportation to his home country due to the fear of persecution.

Wednesday’s order from Xinis comes after Abrego Garcia’s attorneys said in a court filing that some of the discovery productions by the government include “highly redacted internal messages” and other materials that were classified as “Confidential or Attorney’s Eyes Only” — without a motion to designate the items as being under seal.
