Twitter, like most social networks these days, is determined to hold on to as much user data as it can.
According to a report from TechCrunch, the company is able to keep hold of deleted direct messages even after users had deleted their accounts.
Security researcher Karan Saini told the tech site that he found old messages in an archive of his Twitter data that he requested from the company.
Twitter says in its Privacy Policy that anyone wanting to leave will have their account data wiped after 30 days. But that doesn’t appear to be the case. Read more
