Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday announced that he would be taking part in a gathering of European leaders in the Spanish city of Granada.
The gathering would focus on improving cooperation on the continent.
“Ukraine has substantial proposals in this regard,’’ he wrote on the platform X, formerly Twitter.
Zelensky said he wanted to focus on the Black Sea region, global food security and freedom of navigation, at the summit.
Ukraine has been struggling to export its large quantities of agricultural produce since Russia blocked its Black Sea ports, following Moscow’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
Strengthening air defence is, however, Ukraine’s key priority, according to Zelensky.
He added that he was looking forward to implementation of new agreements with other countries.
“This should be a productive day for Ukraine and Europe as a whole,’’ he wrote.
