A pregnant woman about to give birth lost her baby daughter when the branch from a diseased tree fell and crushed her.
Liz Stear’s Audi A4 was flattened by the huge horse chestnut branch which smashed through her windscreen and thudded into her abdomen.
Her baby, named Lucia, was born in hospital after the incident on 10 November, 2016, but only survived for 15 hours.
She suffered multiple organ failure and died at 1.11am a day later, on 11 November 2016, an inquest last week heard. Read more
