Vaginal birth after two C-sections is dangerous, gynaecologist warns (Punch)

An Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with the Masaka Central Hospital, Karu, Dr. Emmanuel Anthony, has advised women to avoid going through vaginal delivery after giving birth through Cesarean section twice.

He gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja.

Anthony warns that women who wish to try vaginal birth after two C-Sections are at greater risk of complications and are less likely to succeed.

He added that forced vaginal birth could lead to uterine rupture, whereby the uterus tears open along the scar line from a previous Caesarean delivery. Read more
