Veteran Nigerian Journalist, Peter Enahoro has died at the age of 88.
Enahoro, fondly known by his pen name, Peter Pan, died in London, the United Kingdom on Monday.
This was announced in a statement by Nigeriaโs foremost female journalist, Ms Bunmi Sofola.
The statement read in part, โRegret to announce the passing on of our iconic journalist Peter Enahoro โPeter Panโ today in London at the age of 88. RIP.
โAlso known by the pen name of โPeter Panโ because of his popular column in New African magazine under that name. He has been described as โperhaps Africaโs best-known international journalistโโ.
Enahoro was a journalist, author, businessman and publisher.
Famous for having written the book, โHow to be a Nigerianโ, the deceased columnist is one of the pioneers of Nigerian journalism and became editor of the Daily Times at a young age.
Enahoro attended the prestigious Government College, Ughelli (in present-day Delta State), and was a contemporary of the famous poet and Africaโs first professor of English, JP Clark. (Vanguard)
