Wanted man appointed into MC Oluomo’s committee (Punch)
A man declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command in January has been appointed into the caretaker committee of the National Union of Road Transport Workers led by Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo. The man, Mustapha Adekunle, aka Seigo, is listed as number one on the new list of members of the caretaker committee of the NURTW. Adekunle, who is also a member of the All Progressives Congress, was declared wanted by the immediate past Commissioner of Police in the state, Imohimi Edgal, for his alleged role in the violence that erupted at an APC rally in which two journalists were shot. Police parade 72 suspects in Imo (Nation)
The Imo State Police Command Thursday paraded 72 suspects believed to be behind the recent wave of criminalities across the State. The Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo, said that the suspects were picked at different points within the state and beyond within the last six weeks. He said that the clampdown on criminal elements in the state is in line with the “Operation Puff Adder” launched by the Inspector General of Police, which he said is still in force. Read more

A massive environmental monitoring station off Germany’s Baltic coast has disappeared from the seabed, baffling police and researchers. The seabed “observatory”, worth about €300,000 (£270,000), weighed more than half a tonne. It could not have been dragged off by a storm, tide or large animal, German experts say.
