War veteran ‘accused of killing innocent people’ (Metro)

A Specsavers employee has been suspended after she allegedly accused a war veteran of ‘invading countries’ and ‘killing innocent people’ during an eye-test.

Furious Steve Leale, who served in the army for 32 years, claimed the worker also refused to book a priority hospital appointment for him.

Veterans are entitled to priority access to NHS care, which includes hospital, primary or community care for conditions associated with their time in the armed forces.

Steve, a former Warrant Officer Class 2, said the accusations were made during a visit to the Woodbridge branch in Suffolk on February 15. Read more
